Benefits of Hypnosis

The Benefits of Hypnosis are reviewed on this Video

So Ask Yourself These Three Important Questions

  1. How motivated are you to change your life?
  2. What’s keeping you from achieving your dreams?
  3. How will your life change when you remove barriers and reach your goals?

What will it take for you to use hypnosis to redirect your focus toward what it is you do want now?

Are you ready to wave a Magic Wand and embrace your dreams?

Seriously, consider what it would be worth to you.  Too often we devalue our own dreams or focus just upon the needs of others.  Think about how your life and those around you will improve when you make these significant changes.  What is the cost of your unfulfilled promises and potential?  Isn’t acquiring the means to fulfill your dreams worth a limited investment of your time and energy?

Of course it is.  There is no more important investment than that which we make in ourselves and our loved ones.  Learn how to use hypnosis power to your advantage.

How do Hypnosis CD and Hypnosis MP3 audios help you reinforce the positive suggestions? Your Sacramento hypnosis sessions are recorded as audio programs for your use at-home.  With repeated listening the constant positive suggestions establish new positive behaviors and habits within your subconscious mind.  What is hypnosis and why would you use hypnosis at all? Hypnosis simply creates new beliefs that override the old habits and become a permanent part of your thoughts, behaviors and actions.

How long do you need to listen to them? Everyone is unique, but the new thoughts and desires begin to manifest into your conscious mind during  the first few weeks after listening to the sessions.  It is advised that you listen to a new audio session every day until you have listened to the complete program.  Real hypnosis begins when you allow it to happen.  Then begin again and go through the audio sessions until the new habits are firmly established as your new behaviors.  This could be two, four or eight weeks.  The key is to be consistent, to listen to a session at least once a day.  The more you follow this program, the faster the results.

What’s the experience like? It’s as if you were watching a movie in your mind or listening to an audio book.  As you picture, imagine, and experience yourself doing what you hear you begin to feel more confident and learn to direct your attention in a more positive direction.  Each audio session focuses upon specific issues and behaviors.  Why would you use hypnosis?

Still Want More Proof that Hypnosis Works?

Hypnosis is one of the most misunderstood (and effective!) tools for self-change available in the world today.  When you say “hypnosis,” most people think of magic shows, funny stage acts, and possibly even witchcraft.  Freud actually experimented with hypnosis, but was such a poor hypnotist that he abandoned it for other techniques such as free association and dream analysis that later proved to be of lesser value.

Frankly, the benefits of hypnosis are so much more.

Hypnosis is simply this: a relaxed state of focused attention that allows you to control and change mental, emotional and physiological patterns that can’t be changed with everyday awareness and will-power.  Positive Hypnosis is a powerful tool of change.

The use of hypnosis to treat emotional issues (also called “hypnotherapy”) has been around for more than half a century. In fact, the British Medical Association approved the use of hypnotherapy in 1955. The American Medical Association approved its use in 1958.

As you might imagine, if major medical associations have approved the use of hypnosis, imagine how powerful it is when treating thought patterns that stand in your way.  Can hypnosis control you in a positive way?  Read what others have to say….

Can hypnosis control your negative behaviors?

WebMD - Hypnosis is merely a tool – a technique to tap into the subconscious.  Hypnosis is a state of concentration and focused attention.  With it the mind can be more powerful.  You simply have slipped into your subconscious.  the American Psychological Association has endorsed hypnosis for a number of years.  In 1995, the National Institutes of Health announced its support for hypnosis for cancer pain and other pain conditions.  Research from Harvard Medical  School and other institutions is showing evidence that hypnosis is indeed a process of mind over body.

Clinical Studies Prove Hypnosis Works . . .Increases Weight Loss By 146%

Numerous clinical studies have proven that hypnosis is amazingly effective in helping folks lose weight:

  • In a 9-week study of two weight management groups (one using hypnosis and one not using hypnosis), the hypnosis group continued to get results in the two-year follow-up, while the non-hypnosis group showed no further results (Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1985).
  • In a study of 60 women separated into hypnosis versus non-hypnosis groups, the groups using hypnosis lost an average of 17 pounds, while the non-hypnosis group lost an average of only .5 pounds (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1986).
  • In a meta-analysis, comparing the results of adding hypnosis to weight loss treatment across multiple studies showed that adding hypnosis increased weight loss by an average of 97% during treatment, and even more importantly increased the effectiveness POST TREATMENT by over 146%. This shows that hypnosis works even better over time (Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1996).

The bottom line here is that when hypnosis sessions are added to various weight loss programs, the results are always better — more than 146% better over the long term! Hypnosis also helps you to stop smoking, feel more confident and so much more.

A study from the University of Connecticut suggests that long term results are better when hypnosis is part of the therapy package particularly if the patient is a believer in hypnosis.  Researchers analyzed 18 studies comparing a cognitive behavioral therapy, such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self monitoring or goal setting with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis.  Those who received hypnosis lost more weight than 90 percent of the non-hypnosis patients and maintained the weight loss two years after treatment ended.

Weight Loss
A study from the University of Connecticut analyzed 18 studies comparing a cognitive behavioral therapy, such as relaxation training, guided imagery, self monitoring or goal setting with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis.  Those who received the hypnosis lost more weight than 90 percent of the non hypnosis, and maintained the weight loss two years after treatment ended.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome
A British study of 18 adults with IBS published in The Lancet found that hypnosis “strikingly” reduced colonic motility, thus decreasing diarrhea and cramping (July 11, 1992).

Erectile Dysfunction
In a controlled study of 79 men with impotence from no known organic cause, only hypnosis proved more effective than a placebo, boosting sexual function by 80 percent (British Journal of Urology, February 1996).

Self-Hypnosis Can Cut Stress and Boost Your Immune System
A number of studies have suggested stress can hinder the body’s immune system defenses. Now researchers say people may be able to fight back with the stress-relieving techniques of self-hypnosis.  Researchers looked at 33 medical and dental students during relatively low-stress periods and around the time of the first major exam of the term. The investigators found that during exam time, the self-hypnosis students launched stronger immune responses compared with students who did not learn the technique. And the more often students practiced the relaxation strategy, the stronger their immune response. (Read in “Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 2001, v. 69.)

Relax and live longer
Patients with Hodgkin’s disease or non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma live longer if they receive relaxation and hypnotherapy treatment along with standard chemotherapy. Leslie Walker of Hull University studied 63 patients with newly diagnosed cancers, all of whom were receiving chemotherapy and standard anti-nausea drugs. “We found that the patients who had received relaxation or relaxation and hypnotherapy lived significantly longer,” he says.

Hypnosis & Bone Fracture
The Harvard Medical School conducted research on the use of hypnosis to enhance physical healing. The hypnosis group had individual hypnotic sessions and listened to audio tapes designed to increase bone healing. The results showed a faster healing for the hypnosis group.  The hypnosis group also had better mobility and used less pain killers. (Read in “Alternative Therapy Health Medicine, March, 1999, pp.67-75,  by C. Ginandes and S. Rosenthal.)

Experts Urge the Inclusion of Hypnosis and Biofeedback in the Medical Treatment of Chronic Pain and Insomnia
An expert panel assembled by the National Institutes of Health has announced their finding that the use of hypnosis, biofeedback, meditation, and other behavioral therapies should be used more widely for the treatment of chronic pain and insomnia. Further, the panel said those therapies should be reimbursed bv health insurance along with standard medical care.

Preparing for Surgery
A controlled study of 32 coronary bypass patients showed that those taught self-hypnosis pre-operatively were more relaxed after surgery and had less need for pain medication (Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, February 1997).

Pain
A review panel appointed by the National Institutes of Health found “strong evidence” for the use of hypnosis in alleviating pain associated with cancer (Journal of the American Medical Association, July 24-31, 1996).
